• 1100 litre bins for large quantities of mixed paper, cardboard, cans and plastic bottles.
• Desk high boxes for mixed paper, confidential paper, cans and plastic bottles.
• White hessian sacks for mixed paper.
• Red hessian sacks for confidential paper.

Do you collect general mixed waste?
We only collect recyclable materials but work in partnership with a waste management company that provides general waste collections. You can contract with LEEP Recycling for your entire recycling and waste streams- a one stop solution.
CARDBOARD
Do you provide a bin for cardboard?
If you have large quantities of cardboard we can supply an 1100 litre bin which can be uplifted at a frequency that suits your business. The best way for it to be collected is by flat packing the cardboard inside a cardboard box or bundling it with tape or string.
How big is a bundle?
A bundle should weigh no more than 10kg and should be a manageable size for one person to lift to chest height without difficulty.
Do I need stickers for cardboard collections?
If we collect your cardboard from inside your premises you do not require stickers. If we collect from outside your business you will need stickers to show environmental wardens which company is collecting your cardboard. Stickers are provided FREE of charge.
MIXED PAPER
Can all types of paper be recycled?
Most paper can be recycled. The exceptions are plastic coated/laminated paper and soiled paper towels. Otherwise, if you can tear it easily, we recycle it. This includes coloured paper and paper with crayon or paint on it.
Can I recycle envelopes with plastic windows?
Yes. The glue and plastic windows on envelopes are removed during the recycling process. Please note that padded envelopes cannot be recycled. Where possible, it is preferable to remove paperclips and elastic bands before putting paper in the recycling bin. Staples are be removed during the recycling process.
The paper recycling bags are marked “Do not fill above this line”. Why is this?
When filled to this line the bag is likely to weigh about 8-10kg. For health and safety reasons we do not collect bags or boxes which have been overfilled (over 10kg). As a guideline, if the bag/box can be easily lifted to chest height it is not overfilled.
I have a box of brochures/flyers to recycle. Can these be collected in their original box or do they have to be bagged?
They can be collected in their original boxes provided each box weighs no more than 10kg. Any plastic wrap or packaging must be removed.
Are the contents of my paper recycling bins kept safe?
Once the paper is collected it is taken directly to LEEP where it is baled for recycling. Your paper won’t fall into the wrong hands, but if you have particularly sensitive information that needs shredding you can use our Secure Data Services.
CANS
Can I recycle aluminium and steel cans and tins together?
Yes.
Do the cans and tins need to be cleaned before recycling?
Yes. Please wash and squash cans before placing them in the recycling bin. This avoids creating any unwelcome odours in your office while you fill the bag and before we collect.
PLASTIC BOTTLES
What types of plastic bottles can be recycled?
We can recycle plastic bottles for juice, milk, cosmetics and cleaning products. Please wash and squash all bottles.
Can I recycle other plastics, such as plastic bags and plastic food containers?
No. At present we do not have facilities to recycle these specific types of plastic.
